Julie and I searched all over the house looking for info on my Uncle Bob. He was a WW II Army Air Corp Bombardier shot down in Oct 1944. I didn't know alot about him because my Grandparents refused to allow anyone to speak of him after the Officers came to their house to report him MIA. After the war, members of his crew reported the details of the plane being shot down but did not know what had happened to him. Someone said his parachute caught fire on the way out of the plane. We do know that he is buried in an American cemetery in Belguim. Just today we read that he would not have been buried without remains. This is a long detective search.
